mountains, water and ink
I've been working on this today, I started it last year and have gone back to it a couple of times, but other things have always been prioritised ahead of it. Having completed my waterfront reflections painting, I placed this one back on the easel and have sat with it a bit today. Having stepped away from it, after an hour or so, I realised that some parts are stronger, but large parts of it need work....so I have my work cut out. I put the finishing touches to this last week, and have framed it quickly before I changed my mind. It has been glorious to paint...not sure if it is the blues, or the shapes and flow...whatever it is, I'm sad that I am no longer working on it, but then I'm sure there will be more blues in something in my future. I've also been doing some writing, enjoying the process rather than the words at the moment...I may be growing a small obsession with fountain pens and ink ...although I suppose an addiction could be worse!!
