September and new things

I know I have said it before and no doubt will say it again, I do love the feeling that September inspires in me. I think I will always have the feeling of new beginnings and the chance to learn something new when September begins.

I have been creating some new work in my studio recently, and have also now put some of my work in a shop....lovely new things!

This new mini-print is a small reduction linoprint, and already a few have been snapped up, which is incredibly exciting.

(The VE after the edition number stands for Variable Edition, as there are a few different ink colours and pressures that vary the finished print.)

I have a new mini-print currently drying in my studio too, this is a reduction print, now on it's fourth ink layer which depicts some rudbeckia and a lovely red admiral butterfly. It still has at least another two colours to add, but here are some of the stages for you to see.

My new studio assistant is not sure if he likes the noise that my press makes when I turn the wheel, so we are working on that!
