pastures new...

There seems to have been a little less time for making recently, which is a bit disappointing, however, there are a few changes afoot....I am about to start a new job, which is brilliant as I will be working from home, but a little daunting as it will be full-time which wasn't really the plan. However, I am sure we will all role with the changes and priorities may need to be tweaked somewhat.

Before that happens, I wanted to show you the new mini-print that I was working on, as it is now finished.

Red Admirable - reduction  linoprint

I am really pleased with the finished piece, it has a feeling of intention about it, which is what has always appealed to me in linoprint, but sometimes I get caught up with parts of the image and don't achieve it.

The summer has really inspired me this year, and I've enjoyed everything it has had to offer. It feels like we were ready for the change of autumn though, and most things in my garden seem to have got through the dry weeks.

I've also been filling up my spare moments watching clips about flower farming, so I have succumbed a bit to temptation, and sewn some seeds with the mind of having a cut flower border next year. I have been a little impatient waiting for germination and am holding out hope on the smallest bits of green that have started to show, I just hope that my dreams are not thwarted if it turns out I've just managed to germinate some weeds in the compost instead!
