October

Somehow we are here in October...and I'm not quite sure how it happened.  With some recent work hour changes, I seem to have lost a few of my studio hours and my focus has changed.

I've certainly enjoyed a lot of time painting with watercolours recently.....

The birds....

The flowers....

and then just very recently....a bit of calligraphy work....

I do like hand written lettering, and I enjoy the process of writing with a fountain pen...there is something very soothing about forming the letters, the flow of the ink and the quirks of the hand rather than the uniformity of a computer font.

When so much has changed just in a couple of months, who knows what will be on my studio desk next!
